LAS VEGAS — There have been some big-name soccer stars who have dominated both on the field as well as on the poker table. These players are also cashing in on and off the field.

It is very common that one can either run into or see one of these players competing in world-known legal gambling poker tournaments. As for actually turning a profit, they sometimes place high in these tournaments as well.

David Levi

David Levi is a former soccer player for Hapoel Ramat Gan, which is an Israeli soccer team. He has cashed in a total of 37 times for an impressive $4 million in total poker winnings.

His highest winnings came when he finished third at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in Las Vegas where he won $229,540. He has competed in both the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour.

Neymar Jr.

Neymar has played in a total of 11 tournaments but unfortunately only placed in one of them. That one being at the Brazilian Series of Poker where he finished in sixth place for a total of $21,072.

Neymar was caught on the darker side of things playing online poker while his team was having a match. Granted he was injured but fans were upset that he was not there in person to support his team.

Gerard Pique

Gerard Pique is famously known for being a soccer stud and being married to Shakira. Fans of his should add poker to that list as well.

He is as serious as anyone when it comes to playing poker as he has won a total of $668,155 from the table. His largest win was also his most recent. He placed second in the European poker tour in Barcelona where he won $392,515.

Teddy Sheringham

Sheringham is known for being one of England’s best frontmen in Premier League history. Since retiring from soccer in 2008, he has been active on the poker table. He has earned a total of $329,475 in poker winnings. His largest win was $118,346 at the European Poker Tour Main Event in Vilamoura where he placed fifth.

Ronaldo

Soccer fans immediately think of Cristiano Ronaldo but this is Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima who played internationally for Brazil and is one of the best strikers that soccer has ever seen.

His poker career is off to a slow start as he has only won $45,760 from the table so far. His largest win came from the European Poker Tour in Paradise Island where he won $42,180 after placing 26th out of 816 total contestants.
