LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Derby is just under one week away and is easily the biggest horse race of the year as there is tons at stake here. The race takes place at the famous Churchill Downs race track in Louisville, Kentucky.

Holing On To The Shortest Odds

There should be no doubts as to why Epicenters Kentucky Derby odds are the favorites to win. First off, he is trained by arguably one of the best in the business, Steven Asmussen. Asmussen owns the most wins amongst any trainer in history with 9,713 along with 130 of them in 2022.

It should also be noted that betting sites have leaned on Epicenter since he first joined the pool having opened up at +1200 odds in early March and made his way down to +450.

Epicenter has also done a tremendous job in his career winning four of six races and two of three in 2022.

Can Messier And Taiba Catch Up?

What is interesting about both Messier and Taiba is that both of them are trained by Tim Yakteen. However, Yakteen does not have the best track record with his horses having won just 11 of 60 races in 2022 and 256 of 1,951 as a whole.
