ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Maryland's sports betting offering is about to expand, as two more casinos gear up for a sportsbook launch.
Hollywood Casino Perryville + Ocean Downs Casino
Hollywood Casino Perryville has its sights set on a Thursday launch for sports betting via Barstool Sportsbook, thanks to their acquisition by Penn National. The launch of this sportsbook will be a big step forward for Maryland sports betting.
Ocean Downs Casino launched its sportsbook operations via Twin Spires Sportsbook on Friday, after hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The casino reportedly held two days of demonstrations to test out the sportsbook before launching, and now the sportsbook is live and ready for Maryland gambling fans to take advantage of.
Virginia Betting
Next door to Maryland in Virginia, racetrack Colonial Downs was issued an official supplier license for online sports wagering.
